Managing Artistic Director and Director
Gina Pandiani majored in Drama and is an alumni of Dominican University. She received an MA in Theology from University of San Francisco in 2009. Gina is a singer, actor, director, teacher and writer. Her onstage credits include the Widow Corney in Oliver, Maria in West Side Story, and The Sound of Music, Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz, Grumio in The Taming of the Shrew, Nelly in Summer and Smoke, Gretel in Humperdink’s opera Hansel and Gretel and numerous other roles. Gina has directed Grease, Guys and Dolls, Oklahoma, The Music Man, Hello Dolly, Bye, Bye Birdie, The Diary of Anne Frank, A Midsummer Nights Dream and several other productions. She directed three plays last Fall for the Fringe and founded its first Senior Play Festival. In 1983 Gina became the General Manager for the San Rafael Junior Theater which she founded in 1979 with other San Rafael High School students. From 1984 to 1987 this organization was based at the Dominican University Drama Department. Gina has directed and been drama consultant in almost all Marin County School Districts and Recreation Departments. Gina has directed children’s theater for The Ross Valley Community for Schools, Bay Area Discovery Museum, and the San Rafael Young Performers Theater. She has also taught musical theater and acting for the Marin Theatre Company and other Bay Area Theaters. She is on RAW Playreading Committee with the Ross Valley Players and is a board member for The Mayflower Chorus. She recently was Assistant Stage Manager for the Novato Theater Company’s smash hit “Steel Magnolias.” Gina works at Aldersly Retirement Community in San Rafael as the Community Life Services Director. Aside from the Fringe Festival, she is also working on this Spring's Fringe Senior Play Festival, showcasing plays performed and some plays written by seniors in Marin, the Bay Area and across the country. Webmaster and Communications Officer
Suzanne Birrell was Production and Program Manager and Stage manager at Fringe of Marin from January 2010 to September 2012 as well as a Personal Assistant to Annette Lust. She was responsible for all print work (graphic art: programs, ads, posters), all communications, scheduling, advertising, publicity, and interfacing with writers and directors and making sure programs ran smoothly and professionally. In addition she wrote and directed and acted in Fringe of Marin productions. She now lives in Los Angeles where she is pursuing a career in film directing as well as playing live music (she plays Bass and Sings). Currently she is with the Swing Band Cats With Class.
